Admissions Process
Freshman
Step One:
- All incoming Freshman are required to take a High School Entrance Exam on Saturday, November 12, 2011.
- Please contact the Admissions Office at (239) 455-3044 ext. 201 to register for the Entrance Exam. All applicants are required to meet with the Principal on scheduled interview dates TBA
- There is a non-refundable $30 dollar fee due with the applicaiton. This fee includes the cost of the Entrance Exam.
- If a student is in need of any special accommodations, paperwork (Recent Psycho Ed. Evaluation & IEP) will need to be presented prior to testing to make any necessary arrangements.
Step Two:
- Submit a completed application form by December 9, 2011 along with:
- $30 Application Fee
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Courses taken for 6th,7th, 8th grade. Records should include credits earned, grades, results of standardized tests, and recent Psycho. Ed Evaluation & IEP if applicable. (Although most eighth grade records will be incomplete, please forward a copy of the most recent eighth grade report card available)
- Recommendation forms from Math & English Teacher
- Copy of student’s discipline/attendance record from current school
- Upon acceptance you will be asked to submit:
- Original Immunization Record (Florida Card, #DH-680)
- Original Florida Department of Health Physical Exam Form (Form #DH-3040)
- Final 8th grade report card
- Please submit all information in one envelope to:

If your child currently attends a partner diocesean Catholic school, we will work with them to obtain transcripts and letters of recommendation (only) once you submit your application.
It is essential that SJN have this information before any admissions decisions can be made. Any information submitted prior to the student’s testing is greatly appreciated.
Step Three:
Based on the review of records submitted, and the entrance exam, a decision will be made regarding admissions. Once your student has been admitted, information detailing the registration process will be sent along with the acceptance letter.
- Admissions decisions into St. John Neumann are based upon the following:
- Review of records submitted
- Performance on the Entrance Exam
- Standardized testing
- Disciplinary history
- Space availability

Transfer Students
Students seeking admittance into grades 10, 11, and 12 are required to take the Entrance Exam. Please contact Tricia Sarcone in the Admissions Office to register for the exam.
Transfer students must provide St. John Neumann High School with the following records:
- Submit a completed application form along with:
- $30 application fee (This fee includes the cost of the test)
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Recommendation forms from Math & English Teacher
- Official Transcript for the past three years. Records should include credits earned, grades and results of standardized tests
- Copy of student’s discipline/attendance record from current school
- Original Immunization Record (Florida Card, #DH-680)
- Original Florida Department of Health Physical Exam Form (Form #DH-3)

Please note that no decision on admission can be made until all of the above information is received.
International Students
Students seeking admittance into grades 9-12 will need to provide the following documentation and records to St. John Neumann Catholic High School:
- Completed Application Form
- Copy of Birth Certificate/Current Visa (if applicable)*
- Two copies of the applicant’s transcript for the past three years: one copy must be in the original language, and one copy must be translated into English by a certified translator, or school official. Records should include credits earned, grades and results of standardized tests*
- Copy of student’s discipline/attendance record from current school
- Copy of applicant’s Health Physical*
- Copy of applicant’s Immunization Record*
* Note: All documents require an official English translation in addition to submitting a copy in the original language.
St. John Neumann Catholic High School is unable to make any admissions decisions, or process any I-20 paperwork until all documents are submtted.
Note: St. John Neumann Catholic High School admits students of any race, color, creed, or ethnic origin, to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to the students in the school. Students of all faiths are welcome to participate in the school’s mission of providing a strong, liberal arts college preparatory curriculum enriched in Catholic traditions. We offer college prep, honors and advanced placement courses. Dual enrollment programs are available to eligible upperclassmen through Edison College. A learning resource teacher is available to students through a Learning Strategies Class to assist students with documented needs. Acceptance of students with severe learning disabilities is on a case by case basis. The ultimate goal is to ensure that each student finds success at St. John Neumann High School.
